The electoral
committee of the Nigeria Football Federation has cleared two more candidates to
contest the August 26 elections into the executive committee of the NFF. Chairman
of the electoral committee Amoni Biambo stated this on Thursday in Abuja at a
media parley with journalist.
According
to Biambo, Mike Umeh and Segun Odegbami were cleared to contest as presidential
candidate and board member.
Amoni
Biambo chairman, NFF Electoral Committee said “We have given every
interested candidate a fair level playing ground in the executive committee
elections. We also categorically state that the 26th day of
August 2014 still remains the proper date for the elections. That the day 26 is
sacrosanct as this date has been communicated to FIFA, CAF and WAFU.”
Based on
security report Amoni Biambo said that the August 26 elections will now hold in
Abuja instead of Warri, Delta state.
