The Rivers state
Goverment has confirmed that Ebola virus has claimed its first victim in rivers
state. The Rivers state commissioner for health Dr Samson parker
confirmed this to Journalists in port harcourt today.
Dr samson Parker said
the victim iyke Sam-Enemua who is a medical doctor died last friday.
The Rivers state
commissioner for health explained that the victim contracted the virus from a
staff of ECOWAS who had contact with the late Liberian Diplomat Dr patrick
sawyer.
The Rivers state
commissioner for health also said the wife of the victim who is also a medical
doctor has fallen sick and results have shown she has contracted
Ebola virus
