SUPER Eagles winger Osaze Odemwingie's transfer from West Bromwich Albion (WBA) to Cardiff City last season has become the subject of an English Football Association investigation over a dispute with his agent. Osaze, 32, joined Cardiff City from WBA at the beginning of the 2013/14 season after a protracted disagreement with the West Midlands side.
However, he struggled to find his feet in Wales and following the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Bluebirds new manager, he was out of favour, so switched to Stoke City. Following the transfer to Stoke, Osaze went on to have a
brilliant season, prompting a recall to the national team, where he went on to have a successful World Cup in Brazil.
However, both transfers have now become the subject of an investigation following a legal dispute with Rob Segal, who
represented him in the move to Cardiff. It appears that Mr Segal is suing the club over the payment of agents’ fees for the deal which he brokered in September 2013.
Apparently, Osaze's subsequent January move to Stoke is also part of the dispute. Investigations are expected to determine if indeed there are any outstanding payments and if so, who is liable. It is not yet clear if Osaze is culpable or will
be expected to make any payments.
