A policeman attached to the Ijaiye Ojokoro Police Station,
Akintunde Adepoju was allegedly assaulted by a commercial driver while
controlling traffic at Ajala bus stop in Lagos state.
The policeman was said to have been beaten up by the driver and some other
social miscreants for confronting the driver and his conductor who drove the
bus recklessly and rammed into another vehicle.The driver was arrested by a team of patrol policemen and arraigned before an Ojokoro Magistrate’s Court in the Ifako-Ijaiye area of the state and charged for unlawful traffic obstruction, resistance of lawful arrest, reckless driving and assault.
