INI EDO SPEASKS ON WHY SHE ENDED ENDED HER MARRIAGE



                        
Nigeria Popular Nollywood actress, Ini Edo has confirmed rumours that her marriage to her US-based husband, Philip Ehiagwina, has broken up.The couple got married in November 2008 at a ceremony held in Houston, Texas, USA.
Tweeting from the handle, @Its_Lacute, one Lacute H. said, “dear Ini Edo you do not and i repeat, you do not owe anyone any explaination about your private life. Whether u cheated or not… its really none of our business, its between u and ur hubby. Stop the defense explanation and live your life abeg.”

Contrary to the rumour that her husband had opted out of the marriage and demanded a refund of the dowry paid on her from her parents, which had already been refunded, citing allegations of infidelity, the actress said she it was who actually asked her ex-husband for a divorce.
She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her action.
The young thespian who has made a mark in the nation’s movie industry, with over 50 flicks to her credit, took to her twitter page Thursday October 2, where she cleared the air on the rumour.
“I asked for a divorce from my ex-husband cos of lots of irreconcilable differences. I never cheated on my husband. There is a conscious n malicious attempt at tarnishing my image. This whole saga is familiar let’s not forget de past. Thanks n God bless,” she said on her twitter account in two separate tweets.
Expectedly, the news of the divorce has elicited reactions from fans of the actress who has a huge fan base, boasting over 300,000 twitter followers. Some of her fans are asking if she will change her handle, @Ini4phil, Phil being the short form of her ex-husband’s name Philip. One of her followers, Alpacino, tweeting from the handle, @Alpacino_Jay asked, “as una don divorce, are you changing your handle or nah?” Some other fans maintained that she owed no one any explanation and her reason for opting out of the marriage was no one’s business.
