The six-man gang including Adeshina Festus, Sunday Samuel,
Ibrahim Adeokin, Babatunde Makinde,Oke and Benjamin were said to have attacked
Obadina along Ijebu-Ode and stole N20 000 before shooting him in the stomach.
The robbery gang responsible for the death of the former
assistant editor of the Newswatch newspapers, Toyin Obadina, was arrested and
paraded by the Lagos Police Command.
You will recall that The editor died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, (LASUTH) Ikeja the following day during a surgery to remove the bullets lodged in his stomach.
The robbers were arrested at their hideout in Ajelogo, Mile 12 on Thursday, October 17 following a tip-off.
