COURT SACKS AMAJU PINNICK AS NFF PRESIDENT

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been hit with another crisis after a Federal High Court ruling in Jos, on Thursday annulled the September 30 elections held in Warri that brought in Amaju Pinnick.
It is yet another tale of crises that have engulfed the NFF in the last four months. And the implications of the rulings means that Nigeria could be banned by the world football governing body,FIFA until May 2015. The court ruled that the Chris Giwa led faction should be returned to power as the NFF president.

Giwa emerged president of the NFF in a highly disputed election process in Abuja, on August 26 and has since then refused to relinquish power. However, the NFF have appealed the ruling and have also filed for stay of execution.
