SUPER EAGLES COACH STEPHEN KESHI SACKED!

  

After finally securing the first win for Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations  qualifier, over Sudan in Abuja, Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has been shown the way out and replaced by former coach Amodu Shuaibu.

In a communique released by the NFF early Thursday morning, the coach was sacked and subsequently replaced after a meeting with key regulators and decision makers in Nigerian football, from which decision was taken 'in the interest' of Nigerian football.
Keshi’s sack was decided on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 but only became public on Thursday as was declared in a communique by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
The Big Boss' sack coming so timely, hours after leading Nigeria to a 3-1 win over Sudan in an AFCON Qualifier in Abuja on Wednesday.
Amodu Shuaibu is to take over from him for the final two games of the AFCON qualifiers against Congo and South Africa while Stephen Keshi and his backroom staff embark on a training course, for which the NFF shall cover the expenses.
Salisu Yusuf, Gbenga Ogunbote and Alloy Agu will assist Amodu, while ex-international, Garba Lawal is the team's new cordinator.
