PROF. OSASERE ORUMWENSE APPOINTED NEW VICE CHANCELLOR OF UNIBEN

                 

The vice chancellor of the university of Benin has handed over to A new Vice Chancellor who has been appointed for the University of Benin. He is Professor Osasere Orumwense. Professor Orumwense was born on twentieth June, 1954.

You will recall that he attended Western Boys High School, Benin City for his Post Primary Education, and obtained his National Diploma in Civil Engineering from the then Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi in 1975.
Thereafter, he proceeded to England, United Kingdom, where he obtained his undergraduate and Post-graduate degrees from University of Staffordshire and the University of Leeds.
Meanwhile, Professor Orumwense who had the rare privilege of having obtained his National Diploma and all his degrees as recipient of Federal Government scholarship, is happily married with children.
Reports says that the appointment of the new Vice Chancellor which takes effect from first of December, 2014 was made by the Governing Council of the University led by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Senator Dickson Bob.  Congratulation him
