It
was a miraculous escape from death at the ikpoba River bridge, Benin City when
eleven person escaped death by the whisker following a crash involving a fully
loaded Tipper Lorry, a commercial Bus and an Audi Saloon car.
An
eye witness told Silverbird Communications that the Tipper lorry with
registration number EHB 901 XA Edo, was descending the slope from the ikpoba
hill axis when he was suddenly
confronted by a another lorry which
broke down on its way from Town.
The
eye witness said to avoid ahead on collision the Driver of the lorry swerved to
the right unknown to him that the
commercial Bus and the Audi car were overtaking him from that side.
An
FRSC official at the sight of the accident disclosed that about eleven persons
were involved in the accident , including 8 males and 3 females.
The
official who spoke off camera said the
accident occurred at about
6.30 am and they had to liaise with RCC who
made available a crane for them to remove the lorry from atop the Bus where it
crashed befir they could rescue the victims.
