The first Nigerian Managing Director of Schlumberger Group in Nigeria Hezekiah Sola Oyinlola has been appointed by the board of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, as a Non- Executive Director.
Oyinlola joined Schlumberger Group in 1984, becoming its first indigenous chief executive, after holding multiple senior roles on the management team, from where he was named chairman of Africa Schlumberger Group in 2011, a position he currently holds. Commenting on Oyinlola’s appointment, the Group Managing Director of GTBank nation wild, Segun Agbaje expressed pleasure that such seasoned professional with a proven track record is going to enrich the bank’s board. “All of us at Guaranty Trust Bank wish him the very best in his new position,” he added. A statement by the bank said Oyinlola’s appointment has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria in compliance with the highest level of corporate governance standards.
