Nollywood actress, Stephanie Okereke-Linus has through a
statement asked the media to exempt her from the alleged rape case involving
her relative and let the court decide.
The actress, who is notable for her numerous wonderful delivery of roles
and her active position in advocating for the rights of women, said that she
was heartbroken about the alleged incident.
She said that it was devastating, and said that it was unfair that some part of the Nigerian media were picking on her because she’s famous and related to the accused.
She asked the media to stop sensational headlines as it was a form of victimization against her, the actress further asked bloggers and the media who have placed her pictures and name to the alleged rape case to stop as everyone patiently waits for the criminal justice system to determine the guilt or innocence of her brother.
