Former Governor of the old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo, has lost his eldest son, Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, Jnr, as a result of cancer.
Punch reports that Nwobodo Jnr died at the Niger Foundation Hospital in Enugu on Friday after he had come back from Houston Texas, USA where he had received treatment for cancer.
He was until his death, a member of the board of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.
He was said to have complained of having pains on his leg and met a senior oncologist with the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, after which he died of complications from medication.
