Sporadic Shooting and Protest in Okpella after PDP Ward Congress Information reaching me from a reliable source in Okpella has it that the some youths in Okpella have taken to the street to protest the outcome of the just concluded ward congress to select candidates that will contest the state house of assembly election.
The rumour has it that the elder’s council handpicked their special candidates as against popular the ones who have majority support from the people. according to the source, some of the youths have stormed the house of some of the political elders in Okpella whom were believed to have manipulated the process with guns, shooting sporadically on the air.
The source said the youths who came out in their numbers have called on the PDP to conduct open primaries for the four aspirants, thereby threatening to go back to join the APC if the party has not changed from what made it
