ANOTHER CHURCH BUILDING COLLAPSES IN BENIN TWO WEEKS AFTER A SIMILAR INCIDENCE.

About two weeks after Christ's Chosen Church of God building collapsed in Benin, another church building has collapsed at Asoro Slope, Ekenwan Road in Benin.

The church, Liberty Power Bible Church Incorporated, was said to have collapsed around 1.30pm after a heavy rainstorm on Sunday.
No life was lost in the incident, but a residential building was affected by the disaster.
The head pastor of the church, Apostle Moses Erue, was said to have returned few hours after the collapse to salvage some of the church property.
No church member was around when our news crew visited.
Neighbours ascribed the disaster to the use of sub-standard building material in constructing church building.
An angry neighbour whose residential building was affected, Mr. Ajoh Silvanus, said he had earlier warned the pastor severally about the inferior materials being used for the construction of the church auditorium but the latter remained adamant.
Ajor said his brother narrowly escaped being hit by the collapsing pillars of the church.

As at press time the leadership of the church was yet to react to the disaster.
