AMERICAN AIRLINES PLANES GROUNDED BY IPAD APP ERROR

A faulty app caused American Airlines to ground dozens of its jets on Tuesday. The glitch caused iPad software, used by the planes' pilots and co-pilots to view flight plans, to stop working.

A Nigerian lady, Temitope Adebamiro, 35 has been charged with killing her husband, Adeyinka Adebamiro, 37, over infidelity claims in Delaware.    The culprit told New Castle County police that her husband cheated severally on her, including with her sister and their nanny’s daughter.

JONATHAN, SAMBO, MINISTERS, OTHERS TO GET N3.24BN SEVERANCE PAY


                         

According to the Remuneration Package  put together by the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice-president Namadi Sambo, non-returning Senators and House of Representatives members, ministers and  presidential aides will be paid a severance package of about N3.24bn as their stay in office terminates on May 29th this year.

This 45 year old Adamu Abdullahi (pictured above) says he will be trekking form Maiduguri in Borno state to Abuja from tomorrow April 30th, so he can meet with Gen Buhari to congratulate him on his victory at the presidential elections, according to KSM News. Married with 4 children, Adamu says he will be leaving Maiduguri by 6am tomorrow and will depart from Jimtilo park. He asked all Borno state indigenes to forward their petitions to him so he can forward them to Gen. Buhari.

MAN DRESSED AS JESUS CARRYING A CROSS RUNS IN LONDON MARATHON

                                     

This pic was posted on instagram yesterday saying they spotted a man in the London Marathon dressed as Jesus - on the cross. The man was later identified as Makoto Takeuchi from Japanese rock band The Chambers Flag. He thought running as Jesus would be cool and didn't bother wearing shoes because according to him, 'Jesus didn’t wear any.'

COURT JAILS WOMAN 266 YEARS FOR STEALING EMPLOYER’S N8MILLION

A female staff of popular eatery, Sweet Sensation, Oluremi Olayinka was on Wednesday convicted and sentenced to 266 years imprisonment by Justice A.A Akinyemi of Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, for stealing N8million belonging to her employer.

SOUTH AFRICA TO DEPLOY SOLDIERS TO THE STREETS TO QUELL XENOPHOBIC VIOLENCE

                               


South African government says it will be deploying soldiers to the streets to curtail the xenophobic attacks in the country. South African Defence Minister, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, said the soldiers will be deployed to Alexandra township, north of the main city Johannesburg. She said the Troops will not take over the responsibilities of the police but would assist in maintaining order.

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has relieved the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba of his appointment and duties with immediate effect.
President Jonathan has also appointed Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase as Acting Inspector-General of Police, also with immediate effect.
Until his appointment as Mr. Abba’s replacement, Mr. Arase was the Head of the Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department.
Mr. Arase holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Law, as well as  Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Political Science and Strategic Studies.
