Ebonyi State House of Assembly complex was totally razed to ground
this morning Feb. 24th after a fire broke out from the Accounts department and
spread to the media section of the complex. The cause of the fire has not been
ascertainment but workers in the complex are suspecting it was an arson.

VETERAN JOURNALIST DIES OF FUEL EXPLOSION
Makers and shakers of the Nigerian media industry, have been thrown into shock and tears on the sudden death of Dayo Eriye, the publisher of weekly magazine, Bravo.
According to his colleagues, Dayo was refueling his generator at about 11.30pm on Saturday Feb. 14 when the accident occurred causing severe burns.

The French actor Louis Jourdan, best known for his role in the
multi-Oscar winning 1958 musical Gigi, has died in California aged 93. Born in
Marseilles, he began his career acting in French films before being lured to

EGYPT COURT ORDERS RELEASE OF AL-JAZEERA JOURNALISTS FAHMY AND MOHAMED ON BAIL
A court in Egypt has ordered the release on bail of two
al-Jazeera English journalists, Mohammed Fahmy and Baher Mohammed who were
arrested in December 2013 and sentenced to 7 years imprisonment in June 2014 on
allegations of helping banned Muslim Brotherhood and spreading false
information about the Egyptian government.
