A faulty app caused American Airlines to ground dozens of its
jets on Tuesday. The glitch caused iPad software, used by the planes' pilots
and co-pilots to view flight plans, to stop working.
A Nigerian lady, Temitope Adebamiro, 35 has been charged with
killing her husband, Adeyinka Adebamiro, 37, over infidelity claims in
Delaware.The culprit told New Castle
County police that her husband cheated severally on her, including with her
sister and their nanny’s daughter.

A female staff of popular eatery, Sweet Sensation, Oluremi
Olayinka was on Wednesday convicted and sentenced to 266 years imprisonment by
Justice A.A Akinyemi of Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, for stealing N8million
belonging to her employer.
South
African government says it will be deploying soldiers to the streets to curtail
the xenophobic attacks in the country. South African Defence Minister, Nosiviwe
Mapisa-Nqakula, said the soldiers will be deployed to Alexandra township, north
of the main city Johannesburg. She said the Troops will not take over the
responsibilities of the police but would assist in maintaining order.
President
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has relieved the Inspector-General of Police, Mr.
Suleiman Abba of his appointment and duties with immediate effect.
President Jonathan has also
appointed Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase as Acting
Inspector-General of Police, also with immediate effect. Until his appointment as Mr.
Abba’s replacement, Mr. Arase was the Head of the Force Criminal Intelligence
and Investigation Department. Mr. Arase holds Bachelors and
Masters Degrees in Law, as well as Bachelors and Masters Degrees in
Political Science and Strategic Studies.
